These vintage journal cards will be used in a new journal that I started to make yesterday. It will be quite different from others that I have made because it will not have a lot of colors. I am drawn to the vintage look using neutral colors, but I have never made a journal like that, so we’ll see how this turns out! In the past, I have made a lot of ephemera using neutral colors, but never a whole journal. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product!

This is the first vintage journal card that I made yesterday. I was inspired by a card that I saw on Pinterest. Of course, mine isn’t exactly like the one that I saw, but similar. It’s a fairly large tag, so there is lots of room to write on the back.

Today I made the second vintage journal card. I think I saw a similar one on Pinterest, also! What would we do without Pinterest! On YouTube I have videos of the process that I went through to make these, but this one I added a little bit to after I finished the video. The right side of the card needed something else, so I added buttons to it. I wish that I had thought of that while I was filming! I’m really like how it turned out.
Journal Pages

I haven’t put together the pages for the journal, yet, but I know that I will be using some of my coffee dyed lace papers because these look so good in journals!

These coffee dyed lace doilies will also show up in the journal. They add such a delicate touch. The picture just doesn’t do them justice! I will be working on this journal for awhile, so I will keep posting pictures so that you can see how it is progressing. I also am posting the YouTube videos that show how I made these vintage journal cards.
Very nice write-up. I definitely appreciate this site. Thanks!
Thank you so much! Have a great day!
